Portland Community Connections Weekend

This fun-filled 2-day course is designed to create and deepen connections, foster trust between community members, and learn new community/social sustainability techniques.

Anahata

Designed for folks who live in community and/or work closely with others, this workshop provides hands-on tools for creating more connection between community members, building trust, conflict resolution, and exploring the nature of leadership, power, and consensus. Techniques and skills offered hail from ZEGG, Naka Ima, Theater of the Oppressed, and others.

Emphasis is on creating/deepening connections, fostering trust, learning practical skills and techniques for creating more intimacy and trust within a group setting, and having fun.

WHERE:

  • NW Skyline Blvd--a beautiful yurt, mostly off-the-grid, with acres of forest and farmland.

PRICE:

  • Offered on a gift economy plus a $40 logistics fee which includes food and lodging. Lodging is camping and/or communal sleeping in the yurt. Food will be organic vegan and vegetarian with fresh produce from the garden and possibly fresh eggs from the chickens. Work trade and food trade are available--this is a grassroots effort and meant to be available for all.

Facilitated by Teryani Riggs. Teryani Riggs has been teaching/facilitating ZEGG-forum for over 8 years, and has been facilitating community events, consensus decision-making, theater/dance improv, and participating in social-sustainability work for over 10 years. Community, Sustainability, Wilderness, and Honoring the Sacred are the four cornerstones of her life. She resides in Cascadia, near Portland, OR.
